Located in the Willow Creek district, this dynamic vineyard is an iconic representation of the best Paso Robles terroir has to offer.  SIP certified for several years and employing a low pesticide input mentality, the vineyard manager utilizes modern, sustainable practices that are efficient and effective. The hilly terrain presents a range in soil types across the property from extremely shallow and droughty, Linne clay loams to deeper, Nacimiento silty clay loams.  Blocks were laid out to isolate soil differences allowing for even vine growth and fruit quality.

The Furlotti’s investment in this centrally located, old almond orchard was done towards a vision to see it transformed into a hotel and associated commercial area at the gateway to the west side of Paso Robles. While working towards getting the development entitlements, Mr. Furlotti had VPS design the first 95 acres (now at 139 acres) with a focus on Bordeaux varieties grown in a manner that allowed for great wines at lower alcohol. Over the years, the vineyard footprint has grown and while some Rhone varieties have been added, it is still mostly planted to Cabernet Sauvignon. Mr. Furlotti originally partnered with just a handful of wineries, but with the expanding acreage and the demand for its fruit, the winery client list has expanded. He is very active in setting the farming philosophy of the property, and envisions the future development across the property highlighting and complementing the vineyards.
