Meet Richard Woodland & 

the Woodland Family

The Woodland family owns and operates four vineyards in the Paso Robles area, residing on two of the ranches.  Their first vineyard was planted 25 years ago and they have invested heavily in the local Paso Robles community ever since. Richard Woodland was born and raised in Paso Robles where he graduated from Paso Robles high school. After high school, while attending Fresno State, Richard was drafted into the Army. While in the military, he married Patricia Diane whom he had met in college. Richard and Patricia purchased a house in Paso Robles and Richard made the commute between Paso and Los Angeles over the next 20 years while running the family duck farm. When he finally had enough commuting, the duck farm was sold and they moved to Paso full time. With the sale of the duck farm they purchased an alfalfa ranch in Paso Robles in what is now the Walmart shopping center.  Richard was an original partner with Gary in Eberle winery. Richard then purchased the Partcia Diane property where he planted his first vineyard in 1999 and built the house where he lives today.
